Haul: Super Chic (I think) Aldo Ring!

I went shopping with my brother. We randomly decided to check out Aldo.
I actually went in with a bold statement choker necklace in mind, but instead i found the coolest ring I have ever seen!!!

and of coz. being Glamouraholic, I had to have it!
(despite my brother commented on how much this looks like a brace for fractures. lol

anyways, since i love my new ring so much, i decided to share it!!!
Below are just a couple shots of me wearing it.

PS. I also got one Aldo nude nail polish and that would be the nail color i was wearing in the bottom 2 pictures (the top two are China Glaze Classic Camel). Pleasantly surprised!!! I must admit for $5 dollars a bottle and from Aldo I was not expecting too much, but honestly their polish are pretty good. I had to have this only because I have not yet found the perfect nude! (so far this one from Aldo I think I am pretty satisfied!). It is opaque within 1 to two coats. easy to apply, no streaks. dry with a decent speed and stays shiney (as you seen on my fingers. I was not wearing a top coat!!)
Would I buy it again? Do recommend it?        Absolutely!
Grab it if you see one!! Fabulous polishes!

Eve Pearl Diamond Eye Palette

Eve Pearl is mainly an online makeup artist brand.

They are actually most famous for their notorious salmon under eye concealers
(many makeup artists swear by this! personally i have no interests in buying anything complexion online because i hate going through the hassle of returning if the products dont work. most likely if something does not work for me, it is going to sit in my drawers for forever. Although I do not have a large collection of makeup, i do not want anything i will not use in my collection either!)

Okay, enough of rambling. Lets start the first formal post here with Eve Pearl Diamond Eye.

This is what the packing looks like. The product can be found on the Eve Pearl Official Website.

I will take you through the product "layer by layer" as it is packaged in many layers.
Next, let's take off the box.

This is what you see when you take off the box. It comes with a really nice pouch. I am not sure what the material is, but its the same material that Chanel uses on their pouches.
I like the pouch overall but I have to admit that i am not a huge fan of the E.P. on it. I'd prefer a simple classic signature Eve Pearl than a boring Times New Roman E.P. initial.
This is what the compact looks like after taken out of the pouch. It has a mirror finish like Josie Marin compacts, which can be a plus or a minus. The bright side is, obviously, the shiny finish makes the compact very expensive-looking and classy. However, the minus side comes from the same shiny finish; the shiny finish makes any sort of figerprint very conspicuous on the compact. Of course, probably not to many of your surprise, the compact looks awful with fingerprints allover.
The palette consists of 6 colors (which is really good for the price and the quality of the shadows).
There are three warm shades, the glittery/ super shimmery golden color on the top of left row, the satin finish medium brown, and a gorgeous classy burgundy brown.
There are also three cool tone shadows on the right row. The top being a very glittery white (very brightening for inner eye corners), the glittery shimmery silvery medium gray (great for all over as well as creases) and a gorgeous deep blue color!

Here are some swatches that I did on  my arms. Sorry if the quality isn't too great. It is because I take pictures with my computer and yes it is nighttime now. That is why the lighting isn't so great.
Let's start with the warm colors. Obviously the colors are not the most interesting colors, but for a very natural everyday look the combinations are very nice, especially with the super shimmery beautiful golden color as a highlight in the inner eye corners. Of course if you like intense colors, you can always apply these with wet brush.
Here are the cool tones. I have to admit I prefer the cool shades over the warmer shades. These cooler shades are slightly softer although the warm shades are quite soft. The grays, both the shimmery and the satin one (not very noticeable on skin) are a lot sheerer than what the colors like in the palette.

The qualities of these shadow are definitely good as in texture and the sheen they give your eyes. Yes, there are both cool and warm tones in this palette, but i have to say overall this is probably better suited with warmer skin tones (the warm shades may look to orangish on fair pink undertone skin).

The texture of the shadows of a whole are very soft and cream with the exception of the darkest color. The darkest colors, both in cool and warm, tend to be a little chalky and less pigmented, surprisingly. However, the colors are definitely buildable or by using a colored base underneath.

Overall, these shadows are recommend-worthy if you are in the market for a perfect very natural neutral look. This provides you with the options from both worlds, the supernatural daytime look, and a glamourized nighttime look.
